The horses bursting out of the gate!
The sculpture is meant to capture the excitement at the very beginning of a race, the moment the horses leap through the open gates; all cut out of 3/8” Corten steel.
Cutting out a partial mock-up
Here I’m working on a full size partial mock-up to test lighting for the sculpture.
A simple light test
Using the partial mock-up to determine the positioning of small LED spot lights.
